My Story

I’ve been painting since I was little, but for most of my life, I kept it to myself. It wasn’t about selling or sharing — it was personal, instinctive, and something I did just because it felt right.

Eventually, I started experimenting more — with color, with movement, with not overthinking it — and somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted others to experience what I was creating. Art started to feel more open, more freeing. And sharing it became a way to connect, not just express.

My Process

My process is fluid. I rarely sketch or plan too far ahead. Most of my inspiration starts with a color, a mood, or a Pinterest scroll that sparks something unexpected. I don’t follow a formula — I just start and see where it leads.

I work mostly in acrylic and mixed media, building texture and letting layers evolve naturally. Some pieces come together quickly, others take time. But I try to stay present in the process rather than control it.

WhO Inspires Me

  • Claude Monet – for the way he painted light, movement, and fleeting moments.
  • Cy Twombly – for his raw, expressive mark-making and layered meanings.
  • Georgia O’Keeffe – for her ability to make softness feel powerful and still.
  • Joan Mitchell – for the emotion in her brushstrokes and her fearless use of color.

My Work & Studio Life

My style shifts from dreamy impressionism to bold abstraction depending on the day, but everything I create is deeply tied to mood, movement, and color. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and made to evoke a feeling more than a fixed image.

I paint from my home studio in Houston, often traveling between there and Austin for new inspiration (and to deliver work to local collectors). Most days, my studio is filled with music, coffee, and the occasional mess — it’s where every layer comes to life.
