About the Artist
Hi, I’m Kate — a Houston-based artist who’s never been one to stick to just one style. I’m drawn to movement, mood, and the kind of beauty that doesn’t always follow rules. My work ranges from impressionist-inspired landscapes to bold abstracts, depending on what’s pulling at me that day (or what playlist I’m painting to).
I often split my time between Houston and Austin, and I love working with collectors to create custom pieces that feel personal and layered. Whether it’s for your home, a gift, or something just for you — I’m here to make something meaningful.

Behind the Canvas
I’ve been painting since I was little, but for a long time, I never imagined sharing it — it felt too personal. I didn’t want to commercialize something that came from such a quiet, internal place.
Over time, though, as I started experimenting more with color, style, and movement, I began to feel freer as an artist. Now, painting feels like a process of discovery instead of perfection.
I rarely sketch anything out. I usually scroll through Pinterest, let an idea spark, and just see where it goes. Some pieces come together quickly, others take a few layers (and a few pauses), but each one reflects where I’m at in the moment.

“Color is my daylong obsession, joy, and
torment.”-Monet
Every painter knows that after experiencing color, you can never see the world the same again.
You stop seeing color as one-dimensional and start seeing the world in hues and values.
